Ignite Education Group

Mission Statement: Ignite Learning Academy propels student curiosity, engages students in personalized learning, and inspires a passion for learning in a safe and encouraging online environment.

As a gifted elementary teacher, you will work directly with students to deliver content, acceleration, remediation, and additional assistance as requested by the student/family or determined by data. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with your peers as well as with the student’s family.

You will be a part of the robust gifted department and will be assigned a homeroom of self-contained gifted students, with whom you will meet daily, and will oversee project-based learning for students that my reside outside of your assigned homeroom classroom as students are grouped based on PBL topic and interest.

Students will receive their online asynchronous instruction through gifted-specific courses and supplemented by daily live classes with you, as their teacher. In addition to the core curriculum, Beast Academy is used as a math replacement for elementary gifted students, and Junior Great Books is used for English Language Arts.

Instruction will be delivered daily by way of a web-conferencing tool, through 1-on-1 sessions with students, and during office hours. Teachers have time for planning, data review, grading, Professional Learning Communities throughout the week to ensure there is ample time to prepare for student success. Teachers must understand students are held accountable for making forward progress in the curriculum, but students will learn at different rates of speed, have differing interests, and will be uniquely motivated

Teachers will provide multiple hours of live instruction daily to small groups of students working on similar academic and social goals. Additionally, all ILA teachers lead one virtual club throughout the school year.
